A Directed Net

This is a directed net usually for traffic by stations to convey their messages related to:
  • What they've been up to?
  • How their week/day has gone?
  • Any announcements?
  • Etc..

It is not a directed net dominated by signal-report exchanges, although that has happened (and probably will happen) if some rather interesting "DX" checks into the net.

By DX, that usually that means stations are not in Washington State (or in the Puget Sound area).

For the most part, the NCS are using vertical antennas and operating QRO (with power beyond 100W).

All Are Welcome

All are welcome to check into the net. The frequency 28.380 Mhz is suitable for any class of Amateur Radio Operator -- Novice, Technician, General, Advanced or Extra class license.

There is usually time for one round (one run through the list) and on some days we might do two rounds. A break usually occurs between rounds in case we need to ask for any new stations that may be reading the mail and want to check-in.

The process is simple:

When directed by either the NCS or a relay for the NCS, give your callsign. The NCS (or Relay) will take it from there. Be listening for your call.

We hope you might join us.
